How often should a deck be re-sealed and what is involved in a deck restoration?

Deck maintenance should be undertaken every 12 - 24 months. Once your timber is showing signs of absorbing moisture it is time to re-seal to avoid costly repairs or replacement.

We offer two different options when it comes to deck restoration.

Basic Refresh: This service can be performed on decking which is slightly weathered with a thin layer of prior coatings. This involves a thorough pressure wash applying a timber cleaner, once dry a thorough light sand, finished with two generous coats of an Australian made Intergrain timber decking oil.

Full Deck Restoration: This service involves stripping and sanding back to raw timber, followed by a stain and tannin remover and then a timber cleaner. We then give your deck a thorough pressure wash and finish with two generous coats of a premium Australian made Intergrain timber decking oil with your choice of a natural finish or a merbau tinted finish.
